분황사 (芬皇寺, Bunhwangsa)

분황사는 선덕여왕때 창건되었는데, 국보 제30호로 지정된 모전석탑을 비롯하여 화쟁국사비 비석대,석정,석조,초석,대성과 사경 이외에 당간지주가 보존되어 있습니다. 원효가 분황사에 서 화엄경소를 ？고, 솔거가 그린 관음보살상은 신화로 일컬어지고 있습니다. 또한 좌전되 있던 천수대비 벽화는 매우 염험이 있어 눈 먼 여자아이가 노래를 지어 부르면서 빌었더니 눈을 뜨게 되었다는 이야기도 있습니다. 역사가 오랜 분황사에는 많은 유물이 있었는데 몽고의 침략과 임진왜란등으로 모두 유실되고, 지금은 분황사에 올려놓은 어른 키 만한 담장 위로 석탑의 윗부분만이 보이는 자그만 절이 되었습니다.
